Gallery Contact Canada 2008 Four friends Flew to Canada and packed a Jeep as full as humanly possible They headed first to Squamish to climb run out slabs (3 bolts in 40m!) ...some truly gnarly cracks and some truly gruesome laybacks They then drove North for three days to the edge of the Artic Circle... ...took a pair of floatplanes with canoes strapped to the side... ...and then walked for two days carrying several rucksacks each Much bushwacking and swearing was involved But it was worth it to arrive at the bottom of the breathtakingl Lotus Flower Tower They got fired up... ...and climbed lots And got rather tired! They got caught in storms Chased away theives Had run ins with wolves and rather big bears and also rather precocious rucksacks! They got stranded without food... ...and had to swim swollen meltwater to find their canoes They finally found some canoes and began their paddle Negotiating Virginia Falls along the way (twice the height of Niagara Falls) They got stuck in horrendous mud And wilted on the river in the sun But eventually made it back to civilisation with big fat smiles!
